CHILLIWACK LAW COURTS BUILDING

This design-build project represents an important downtown revitalization for the City of Chilliwack (The Five Corners Project). It includes a new 35,000 square foot Courthouse, a 20,000 square foot office building, a civic plaza, and a landmark clock tower.
All components were required to meet design guidelines for the City's historic downtown core.
The courthouse contains five Provincial and Supreme courtrooms, judiciary, law library, crown counsel day offices and all related administrative functions, as well as holding cells, and secure judges' parking.
Inside, the modern, efficient and worker-friendly environment quietly accommodates the workings of justice. Ample amounts of daylight enter the building by way of skylights and extensive glazing. Non institutional colour schemes further a relaxed, non-threatening environment for the building users.
